Job description:    
Process Wears Solutions, Supply Chain, is looking to recruit a sourcing professional as responsible for the segment Conveyor Belting and Sheeting. The GSSM is responsible for all procurement activities within one's segments. Examples of such responsibilities are;

• Develop and implement purchase segment strategies e.g. find and develop new suppliers (Together with MAC Global procurement), strategic supplier development, make or buy decisions, overall cost responsible for the segment etc.
• Tactical responsible for global suppliers within one's purchasing segments. E.g. Price negotiations, supplier evaluations, contract updates, global coordination etc.
• Participate in technical development projects. E.g. handle the commercial matters in the development project (NDA, RFQ, negotiations), give input to the project about the capabilities of the suppliers, track the cost development of the products being developed etc.

The position will be located in either Trelleborg, Sweden, or Moers, Germany.

Requirements:    
The candidate most probably has a university (Bachelor or Masters) degree, probably within engineering or possibly business administration and needs to be very experienced in global procurement, supplier development and negotiations. The candidate must also be able to drive management processes e.g. strategy and performance management.

Previous experience within the conveyor belt business is seen as a strong plus.

Furthermore the candidate needs to have a strong drive getting things done and independently take initiatives within one’s area of responsibility. The job requires the ability to work with both the day-to-day business of ensuring supply from global suppliers to holistic studies resulting in new global supply concepts for the segment. The candidate needs to have a commercial mindset, be comfortable in negotiations and have a strong drive to strike good deals for Metso.

The organization is much decentralized; therefore the candidate must be a strong leader, skilled at networking and selling once ideas both internally and externally. The candidate must be thorough but still have the ability to multi task and handling many different tasks at once.

The candidate must be able to travel extensively (~75 days per year) and must be fluent in written and verbal English. Additional language skills are seen as a plus.
