Sege outside Malmö is one of the largest plants in the Nordics for the development, manufacture and sales of paint, lacquer, and putty with over 53 million liters manufactured there in 2018. We there are 600 employees based at the site who, on a daily basis, does everything to meet our customers' needs for high quality products and services. The organization at the site is run by two different companies – Akzo Nobel Industrial Coatings, where the focus is on paint, varnish and stain systems for the product-targeting wood and metal industry and Akzo Nobel Decorative Coatings, whose products are sold under the leading brands Vuosaari, Sadolin, Hammerite and Cuprinol to consumers and painters.
Within Nordic Marketing we are now looking for a Product Manager to Akzo Nobel Decorative Coatings. As a product manager you should support the brand team with technical knowledge when developing, implementing and evaluating category and product portfolio strategy, plans and activities for all categories, both interior as well as exterior. Based on consumer, customer, competitor and category insight you should be able to manage lifecycle plans and activities for the exterior and interior categories, such as optimization of assortment, product quality, packaging optimization and new innovations.
Your main areas of responsibilities are:
- Be the product ambassador and work closely together with Brand Manager and Project Manager to balance and secure product requirements and a winning product portfolio
- Secure Nordic product portfolio development and innovation roadmap based on, brand architecture and strategy as well as, outlined approved commercial plans and innovations roadmaps, and according to global guidelines and corporate business goals
- In collaboration with global and local R&D, as well as local regulatory team, manage and pack commercial technical information as well as secure safety data sheets and safety data labelling are up to date
- Manage volume profit & loss on each category
- In collaboration with Pricing Manager and Sales be responsible of price list
- Be the link between Sales and Marketing and Technical Support and R&D regarding commercial product matters
This position will be located in Malmö and you will report to Marketing Manager Norsjö Paints & Coatings.
Job requirements/Candidate profile
As a person you have the passion for product management and the ability to prioritize daily work. You have experience within Product Management or several years of experince within the industry. We are looking for someone who is flexible and open-minded to new ideas and have an ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment without losing track on priorities. You should be able to quickly navigate between high-level planning activities and hands-on tasks. To be successful in this position you need to be a good team player and self-going “doer” with speed and engagement and a high level of drive and energy. You also must have an analytic skillset to be able to deliver business cases and financial reports for running projects.
- Bachelor degree or equivalent
- You are fluent both in Swedish and English, both written and verbally, and able to understand Danish and Norwegian
